Cosmo City Library is situated in Cosmo City Recreation Centre. Nearby by schools make it easier for students to access the library. The collection at Cosmo City Library consists of adult and junior fiction and non-fiction books. There is a collection of references and Stem books. We work closely with local schools and support educators. Programs that we host are Science Scuffle, Story Skirmish, Battle of the Books, book clubs and business workshops. The librarian also visits schools and pre-schools to read stories and provide training
Good day! I’m located in Cosmo city and I’ve been going to the library for quite some time and would like to know how i can enrol for book club as i would like to expand my knowledge in reading.
Dear Litha-Latha
Thank you for your interest in forming a book club. You can speak to the Cosmo City Library staff or librarian about starting a book club and he can advise. If you need to become a member of the library to take books out, you can register for free online. Click on Membership from the website homepage (www.cojelearning.org.za), and fill in the Google form, for yourself and the children. Your membership numbers will be ready within 7 working days. You can use that membership number for E-books and audiobooks through the Libby app, and other online resources like digital newspapers and magazines, or online articles for research through our website. You can also use it at any of the 87 City of Johannesburg libraries for printed books. You can also visit any branch to use study areas.
Happy reading!!

Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, due to labour regulations, we no longer accept volunteers at our branches. We only accommodate Library Science Students who are formally sent by their institutions as part of their in-service training OR graduates who apply for an internship when it is advertised.
