TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. 1. This is a competition aimed at encouraging leaners to access and read the digital stories on mobile devices for all grades. It is a reading campaign that uses technology.
  2. 2. Stories are carefully sourced by librarians online, with themes relevant to high school/secondary school leaners.
  3. 3. The school/s that gets the highest rate of passes will win a special prize

The more leaners register and participate the better and all registered leaners will receive a certificate of participation.

  1. 4. Pass rate is determined by the high score from the quiz. Leaners can only do the quiz once and submit once.
  2. In case of a tie, the leaners who submitted earlier will be considered the first runners. BUT Every school will have a group of 10 leaners selected for the finals from Grade 8s
  3. 5. For the Finals event, 10 leaners from each school, who have the highest marks will be selected to represent the school. They will read 3 more short stories in preparation for the June finals event. The Quiz questions for those stories will be available only during the finals
  4. 6. The finals event will be held in JUNE after exams at a venue. Only learners from schools within City of Johannesburg Municipality will be allocated transport to the venue if the school does not have transportation
  5. 7. Rules for the finals event Quiz, will be available on the website with stories after April 30th
